To start discovering Vancouver and soak up the atmosphere that reigns there, nothing beats a little tour of the city center (downtown). It is here that you can admire the skyscrapers and find yourself in the heart of the bustle of the city.
We particularly recommend the following 2 districts:
Gastown is Vancouver’s historic district if you want to see some of the city’s most beautiful Victorian buildings. You can take a photo stop in front of the “Steam Clock”, a steam clock whistling every ¼ hour. The area is very nice with many cafes and restaurants on the terrace, perfect if you are hungry.

In Vancouver, Stanley Park is where you can stroll and enjoy the greenery. This huge 400 hectare park is a must in the city for a nice stroll along the water. It offers beautiful panoramas of the whole city and the coast.
The place is also very popular with joggers or cyclists. We also advise you to rent a bike if you want to tour the park, it’s still the best way to explore it. You will just have to follow the Seawall promenade which goes around it for 9km.
