Lately we’ve been asked the same question over and over. “How do you do what you do?” So, we decided it’s time to give it to you straight. We’re Network Marketers and we love it.
So how did we get into Network Marketing and why do we love it so much? Well it’s probably easiest to start where we started…
At the end of last year we made a decision to take some time off from our busy corporate roles for some much needed time out. At the time we had intended to take a ‘career break’. We were just going to quit our jobs and head off into the unknown and see what happened. Turns out there was a much better way.
During this particular trip, the first of many for this year, we had time to think about what we wanted our lives to look like. We quickly came to the conclusion that going back to work did not fit into that picture. Instead we talked about lots more travel and all the places we wanted to go. Buying a great home by the beach was up there too, along with a few investment properties. Having a family was also thrown into the mix. All these things were important to us but the burning question was…how can we do all of this without trading time for money in a job? What was the answer? Network Marketing.
We knew a lot about this industry but had never really taken the time to decide if it was for us. When we really sat down and thought about the options it was a no-brainer. I mean, who wouldn’t want a global business with unlimited earning potential!? For most of us, going into business for yourself is super scary. Lots of financial commitments, huge initial investment costs and a high risk factor. With Network Marketing, you have an opportunity for REAL financial freedom for very little investment. Why wouldn’t we give it a go?!
Now don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a winning lotto ticket or a get rich quick scheme. To be successful in Network Marketing you have to be willing to put the time and effort in. You also need a pretty thick skin. Trust us. The first year is notoriously difficult in this industry and we’ve definitely had some wall kicking moments. That said, it has been so worth it. And here’s why.
Owning a Network Marketing business gives you choices and choices are what make our life amazing. Chris Rock says, “Wealth is not about having a lot money, it’s about having a lot of options.” I love that because it’s so true. Just this week we took a few days out and drove down the coast to an incredible spot by the ocean. We didn’t have to ask a boss for time off, we just got in the car and went. That, in my opinion, is priceless.
With this Network Marketing we can earn money as we travel the world and we have done all year. It’s a totally portable business. Most people save up for a holiday and then are right back to square one when they get home. With Network Marketing you do the work once and continue to get paid for your efforts, no matter where you are in the world…pretty cool if you ask me!
The best thing by far though, is the fact that we can help other people make their dreams become a reality which is the most rewarding thing ever. Now that may not mean travelling the world like us (although we know many of you are inspired by that). You may simply want to spend more time doing the things you really love to do like cook or teach. Maybe you want to finally be able to buy your own place or take your kids to Disneyland. Maybe you’d love to volunteer and give back to charity but you never seem to have the time or the money to be able to. Network Marketing is simply a vehicle that gives you those options.
The last year has been the best of our lives to date. We’ve met so many amazing people, many who now feel like family. We’ve discovered that it is true when they say if you help enough people get what they want, you will in turn get what you want. When it comes down to it though, there are two things we hear people say so often. “I don’t have the time” or “I don’t have the money”. Our response is simply, “Would you like to change that?”
Life for us is about living it, not waiting for ‘one day’ to come along. This path has given us freedom and endless choices. Network Marketing is the bomb diggity and we’re so glad we said yes!
